Her and I have a kind of long (7 hour) layover in LAX, and decided to catch a cab to see some of Los Angeles and grab some dinner (late lunch on California time). We intended to go to Santa Monica, but let the very friendly cabbie (Daniel Solomon Klein) talk us into going to Venice Beach instead where we settled on a little Latin restaurant with a nice view of the pier and water.
What a lovely place! Unfortunately we can only spend a couple hours wandering an eating before we have to head back to the airport and catch out flight.
PS the palm trees here are much taller than at home.

For two whirled travelers who got-up when the rest of us were still snoozing, you look exhilarated so, — the gypsy life agrees with you! All is stilll standing where you left it…in the land of short palm trees and sangria with cinnamon!
Looks awesome and much warmer than NC OBX! Great wide angle lens. Matt looks like he could settle in and start a band. Megan – Just want to know where is your sister? Hope you didn’t leave her at the airport no telling who she will meet or end up going.
Let me be the first to welcome you to Fiji!! Hope you are not too battered as you finally stretch out of those uncomfortable (prisons) airplane seats. Thinking about you all night 🙂
